Ralph Butrum, 92
It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Dennis Butrum announce his passing after a brief illness on October 8, 2017 at the age of 92.
Mr. Butrum was born in Allen County, Kentucky on June 30, 1925 to Owen and Ethel (Mahaney) Butrum. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Odis and Omer.
Ralph could accomplish anything he set his mind to and was one of the hardest working people to grace this earth. He traversed life at his own pace and always had time to talk over a cup of coffee. He enjoyed watching NASCAR on weekends and relaxing in Florida when he could find the time. He never met a stranger and his faith and love of the Lord served him well throughout his life journey. From 1967 until his recent illness he owned and operated his own auto dealership in Indianapolis; Dependable Auto Sales, Inc. He was well respected for his knowledge and passion of the auto dealership business.
Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Linda Gregory and Tammy Butrum, his grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Brennen and Ayden and his great-grandchildren, Hailey, Alyssa, Olivia, Madison, Jason Jr. and Jack. He will also be forever remembered by his numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He will be dearly missed by his friends of the church he attended, Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Floral Park, Sunday, October 15th from 4-8 p.m. and Monday October 16th from 12-2 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
