James C. Butler, 91, Indianapolis, passed away September 6, 2017. He was born September 7, 1925, in Lake Worth, Florida, the son of the late Thomas Edward and Segrid (Nelson) Butler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Charlotte Butler; three daughters, Kasey (Fritz) Kauffman, Kelly (Brian) Smith, Lori (Steve) Scaglione; and five grandchildren, Kim, Jim, Chris, Hillary, and Nick. He was preceded in passing by a son, William Butler.

DEAR CHAR AND FAMILY,
wE ARE VERY SORRY TO LEARN OF JIM'S PASSING.. HE HAD FOUGHT SO BRAVELY DURING THE SEVERAL MONTHS AND HIS EFFORTS CHEERED MANY PEOPLE ON.
JIM WAS A PIONEER IN MANY RESPECTS WHO HAD BECOME A CHAMPION SUPPORTER OF MANY CAUSES INCLUDING MANY TO HELP DEVELOP IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS IN THE HEALTH CARE FIELD.
HE ALSO WAS AN IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTOR IN THE EARLY OPENING OF sT MATTHEW.
HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS A POSITIVE FORCE IN ALL AREAS OF HIS LIFE.
